The following convictions guide the life and ministry of West Greenway Bible Church:

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, wholly and completely without error in the original manuscripts. We believe it was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and has supreme authority in every single matter it addresses (Matt. 5:18; John 10:35; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Peter 2:1-3; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

The Trinity
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These persons are equal in being, power and glory, and they are identical in essence. Each member of the Godhead possesses all the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6).

God the Father
We believe in God the Father; an infinite, personal Spirit, who is perfect in all His attributes. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of people, that He hears and answers prayers, and that He saves from eternal damnation all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Ps. 136:13-15; Isa. 6:1-3; 46:10; John 3:16; 4:24; Col. 1:15; 1 Tim. 3:15).

Jesus Christ
We believe in the full and absolute deity of Jesus Christ as well as His true humanity, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His perpetual intercession on behalf of all believers, and His future, visible return to earth (Isa. 7:14; 9:6-7; John 1:1; 8:58; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:1-8; 2 Cor. 5:21).

Holy Spirit
We believe in the present helping, teaching, and guiding ministry of the Holy Spirit who permanently indwells every believer in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts the world with regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment. He also regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ (John 14:16, 26; 16:8, 13; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 5:18; Titus 3:5).

We believe humanity is sinful both by nature and by choice. All people are doomed to eternal separation from God, apart from trusting in the substitutionary death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior from eternal damnation apart from any works that a person can experience eternal life (Gen. 1:26-27; John 5:24; 6:47; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12-19; 6:23; Eph. 2:1-10; 1 John 2:2). We believe God keeps all who are saved through Christ eternally secure despite their failings and sins (John 6:37-40; 10:28-29; Rom. 8:31, 38-39; 2 Tim. 1:12; 2:13; Heb. 7:25).

The Church
We believe that the Church is a spiritual organism made up of every born-again person in this age (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25-27). We believe that the fundamental purpose of the local assembly of believers is for the equipping of every believer to build up the body of Christ (Eph. 4:11-13). We believe that each local assembly of believers is autonomous and believe that denominational affiliation can be beneficial to achieve the common purpose of spreading the gospel.

Last Things
We believe in the imminent, premillennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and in His subsequent return to earth to establish His millennial kingdom (Zech. 14:4-11; 1 Thes. 1:10; 4:13-18; 5:9; Rev. 3:10; 19:11-16; 20:6). We further believe that the end times is not an issue that should divide believers, being a difficult issue in Scripture.
